This 2 hour CE course is designed to provide nurses, and other healthcare professionals with a deeper understanding of domestic violence, including key statistics regarding perpetrators and their victims. Information on the number of patients in that professional’s practice who are likely to be victims of domestic violence and the number who are likely to be perpetrators of domestic violence will also be discussed. In addition, screening procedures to determine whether a patient has any history of being either a victim or a perpetrator of domestic violence will also be outlined, along with instruction on how to provide such patients with information on resources that can assist them with their local community.

Your Instructor
Modupe is the Founder of Rophem Nursing Education. She is a registered nurse and she has worked in many areas of nursing. Generally known as Ms. Mo, she has a great passion for teaching; she worked as a teacher in Physics and Chemistry with the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission in Nigeria for 14 years. Also, a nursing instructor at colleges of nursing in the Tampa Bay area including Galen College of Nursing for 4 years, where she served as instructor in Fundamentals of Nursing, Pharmacology, and Med-Surg Nursing. Modupe obtained her Maters degree in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, and her ADN & BSN from Saint Petersburg College.
